PETRA SPRINGS CHRISTIAN CAMP is a ministry of Calvary Chapel Woodland. Our desire is to provide churches with a safe, affordable facility to host camps and retreats for youth and provide opportunities for fellowship, evangelism and discipleship while enjoying the beauty of God’s creation.

We’re located at an elevation of 6218 ft. at 651 Packer Lake Road Sierra City, California, just off of Highway 49 near Bassett’s Station
History
The camp was purchased from the City of Woodland in November of 2010 and began operating under the Lordship of Jesus Christ in June 2011.
Nearby Attractions
The camp is located in the Tahoe National Forest Lake Basin area. This area has more than 40 natural alpine lakes, half of which are within a 20 minute driving distance from Petra Springs. These lakes offer various recreation opportunities such as boating, fishing and swimming. The surrounding area has numerous hiking and mountain biking trails that offer pristine mountain and lake views along with an abundance of wildlife. The various rocky outcroppings offer climbing opportunities for the experienced rock climber and the area has many waterfalls for viewing enjoyment, the highest being 176 foot tall Frasier Falls.
